I found this fabulous clothing site as an advert on Perez Hilton (I don't know what you're talking about. I don't read that site!) and they have the nicest clothes! I fell in love. I love almost all of their dresses; I'm a huge fan of dresses. They all have such beautiful silhouettes, but these are my two most favorites.

LOVE IT!! It's sold out and I can see why. $64.99

When I saw this, I thought WOW. It looks like something Kate Winslet would wear. $157.99 (Only x-large left whew!)

Love this blouse too!
$34.99 (Sold Out :))

Then I noticed that they have this dress:

$49.99

Looked like this one from Forever 21:

$18.24

They look pretty similar. If only Forever 21 would catch up with the styles they have on Mod Cloth and make them affordable. I would be very happy :)

Okay, so as you all know, I've been following the release of The Fray like a hawk. I pre-ordered on Best Buy for pickup and it was going to be ready the day of the release of the CD (02-03). Well, I wasn't able to pick up the CD on that day, so I went yesterday, a day after it was supposed to be ready.

First of all, I went in line at the customer service counter and there were 2 people in front of me with 2 registers open. They both had some complicated return or whatever so overall I waited in line for over 15 minutes (yes, I was keeping track) Not to mention there were 4 people behind me. ALL THE WHILE the freaking manager and a group of ding-a-ling workers were fawking around, laughing, when there were an extra 2 empty registers.

So I FINALLY get up to the register, had everything I needed for a pickup: order number, card I used, and ID. AND THEY DIDN'T EVEN HAVE MY CD UP THERE. So it took an extra 10 minutes for the cashier to realize what was going on and for some worker to bring the CD up. I was livid. The cashier didn't even tell me what was going on and I pretty much had it so I just told her, "Can you just return the CD for me and I'll go on the floor to buy it myself? I'm sure that would be a lot quicker...>:[" Then she tells me, "Uh... oh, someone's getting the CD right nowz *drool*"

I also want to mention that as I was waiting for the CD, I looked at the customer next to me. He was returning something and the cashier next to him had a receipt in one hand, scanner in the other, and just stopped right in her tracks to talk to the cashier that was "helping" me. "Poor Brittany, she's like... up there all alonez". WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? HURRY THE FAWK UP! If you're going to talk, do it while working! MULTITASK! It's not THAT challenging to scan something while talking. If your underdeveloped brain isn't capable, then don't talk. Wait until break, after work, or um... maybe when there's not a line of disgruntled customers?

I can't believe I spent over 25 minutes to pick up a darn CD. That is ridiculous. People do in store pick ups to make things easier and quicker for them, not to complicate things! I do in-store pickups with Nordstroms all the time and get very speedy service. I was expecting the same from a Best Buy pick-up... I would have gone ape shit if they ran out of the CD. I am over Best Buy. The store is full of clueless teenagers and twenty something douchebags. With the amount of jobs lost in today's economy, I'm sure there are tons of COMPETENT individuals out there that will gladly take their jobs. Oh Best Buy, see that huge "Customer Service" sign you have hanging from the ceiling? You guys forgot to add a "Bad" in front of it.

WHY did Circuit City have to be the one that goes out of business? YOU, Best Buy, should have been the one!

Same Best Buy Rants

I have a video demonstrating the application of this product:

For those who couldn't see a difference. I took the images directly from the video.

Bobbi Brown says:
For very dark circles and extra coverage Bobbi's secret is her Correctors. Designed to be layered under your regular, yellow-based concealer shade, Correctors come in Bisque and Peach shades. Bisque neutralizes pinky-blue undereye darkness and is ideal for most skin tones. Peach neutralizes purple-brown undereye darkness common in olive, golden and tan skin tones. Use the Corrector daily or just when you need extra coverage.

Cost: $22 (1.7 g)
Where to buy: bobbibrown.com or any department store that carries Bobbi Brown (Nordstrom, Saks, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, etc.)

This is a product that is a falls above my usual price range for cosmetics. The correctors come in bisque (pink undertones) and peach (orange undertones) shades meant to cover under eye circles. This product is advised to be used under a regular concealer, but I find that it looks just fine by itself.

When you go to check this product out, try to show up without makeup on, or be willing to take your makeup off if you want an accurate match the first time around. I didn't try on the correctors, but I researched the product thoroughly before I got to the counter. I was pretty sure that I was a light peach. Unfortunately, the majority of the time, the Bobbi Brown associates will recommend the bisque shades to everyone as it's the "safe" recommendation. Actually, you kind of have to fight them for a peach shade. Just read some of the reviews on makeupalley.com and you'll know what I'm talking about.

I say to actually try the product at the counter because I think it's important to see the difference between the bisque and peach. Try a bisque shade on one eye and peach on the other. I say never buy the bisque shades. They are simply concealers with pink undertones and there are plenty of assessable makeup companies that provide concealers with pink undertones that are also more affordable like NYX to MAC. Salmon, peach, and orange coloured concealers though, are sort of hard to come by as of right now. This is why I coughed up the $22 price tag.

I bought the light bisque shade first. I was certain that my shade was light peach but the associate was set on me using a bisque shade. I said that I needed a peach coloured concealer. She said that an actual peach shade would be too dark for me. I remember her stating, "You're about as light as me and I use the light bisque". Mind you, I am about NC 30 from MAC and she was probably about NW15, obviously fair. Yeah, we're totally the same. That immediately raised flags in my head. She told me that ALL the Bobbi Brown correctors have a peach undertone, it's just that the peach shades had more of it. She put a bisque and peach shade side by side and said, "See? They are both peach" I honestly could not see it at all. The bisque had an obvious pink undertone but I tried to keep an open mind about the whole thing. Afterall, it was my first time ever buying from Bobbi Brown and she works for them, so she must be right?

Well, that wasn't the case. I went home and tried the Light Bisque corrector and yes, it kind of covered my circles, but just as well as any regular concealer. It just pretty much lightened the area. You get that typical weird cast just like you would with concealer. For someone who's never tried covering their circles with anything before, then they would probably think "Wow, this works! It did SOMETHING!" But for those who have tried covering their circles before, this is nothing special at all.

Then I went on Bobbibrown.com and did a live chat with an associate. I made sure that I told the person that I had olive undertones to see what would be my recommendation. The Bobbi Brown description on the site specifically states: Peach neutralizes purple-brown undereye darkness common in olive, golden and tan skin tones. Well, I got a reply that said somewhere along the lines of, "Liz, most women match with the bisque shades. Bisque would be a match for your skin tone. Remember that the correctors are layered under the Bobbi brown concealers".

Judging from my counter experience, the live chat, and reading the posts made on makeupalley, I am pretty sure that nine times out of ten, a bisque shade will be recommended, no matter WHO you are! I think that is just doing a major disservice to customers. People pay to get PERSONALIZED recommendations from associates and artists. We don't want to get generic information from misinformed associates. Bobbi Brown needs to train their associates better... seriously.

So I returned the Light Bisque shade I got and finally got the Light Peach shade. I think it works pretty well. I don't think it's too dark for my skin, do you? I find that it blends very well and it doesn't look obvious at all. I find that it lightens my circles in a very natural way. I can't even tell that I'm covering anything. I dust on some powder over the corrector afterwards to set it and prevent creasing.

Overall, I like this product. Just be sure to use the peach shades, you will be much happier! It's quiet expensive for what I usually buy, but it's one of the few well known brands that actually make correctors of this shade. I hope that NYX will add some concealers with orange undertones to their pot concealer line some day. I'd definitely check them out, but for now, it's Bobbi Brown for me I guess.

I didn't have to wait until Feb 3 to listen to the album! It's available for streaming on VH1.com right NOW!!!!! I love it! I can't wait until the album actually comes out! I've just pre-ordered it. I haven't been this rightfully excited over an album release in a long time!

I believe Best Buy has the cheapest price. $9.99 PLUS you get a free download for "syndicate". Yes, cheaper than Amazon and Walmart!

Hi everyone! I have a little secret that I've been hiding for a little while but I can't keep it contained at the moment. I'm currently working on a new blog site for myself and will eventually abandon blogger. It's a decent free service and all, but there are features that it lacks. I'll be getting my own site up soon using the ever so popular Wordpress, which means I will be able to use expandable posts. I realize that I like to post a lot of pictures and it must make my blog lag on Blogger. There will also be threaded comments, so that means I (and others) can actually reply to your comments in an organized manner!

It'll actually be maybe... 70% personal blog and 30% beauty blog. It's mostly for me. Sorry, I know that sounds selfish. I've started realizing how much I like writing about things that really don't matter :P

Something that I've never told anyone is that I started fiddling with web and graphic design in middle school. At the time, Wordpress did not exist. It was all about b2! Well, I had a good amount of fun for 2 years and got bored with it.

Anyway, this time around, I'm not going to be doing any of the designing or coding. I'm calling in the pros. I've commissioned an artist on Deviantart to make an illustration for me. I basically had a vision, explained it thoroughly to the artist, showed some examples, and it's the artist's job to turn my vision into a visual image. Well, the artist just sent me the sketch this morning and it looks AMAZING! I'm so happy so far and I can't wait until she finishes the illustration.

After that, I have a designer who will design and code the overall Wordpress template. Her work is amazing as well. She has created some popular free wordpress templates.

Everything pretty much is made from scratch so there will be no premade templates, no stock vectors that you see everywhere on the internet. Everything will be unique and 100% me! (except I didn't actually draw, design, or code anything :P)

Things should be completely done in 1-2 months. I'm so exited!
